No life expects to survive (2023)

“No life expects to survive” (Joseph Brodsky, “A Room and a Half”) And yet, someone succeeds, at least in the long memory of many complete strangers. The painful sadness and at the same time beauty of the installations, recreating fragments of the poet’s communal parental apartment, for me merge with fleeting images of winter St. Petersburg, giving birth to a vertical polyphony of colors, shapes and meanings. Multiple exposure. Mobilography. “...and in front of this wall, stop screaming and turn your back to the window and revive for a while...” (I. Brodsky)
